I’m Kyle Jensen with the American Red Cross. I get the opportunity to work with the First United Methodist Church and the Columbus Community organizing blood drives around the area. There is a constant need for blood since it only has a 42-day shelf life, so we’re very grateful that the United Methodist Outreach Center hosts a weekly Thursday blood drive that collects on average 38 units and an every other month Monday blood drive that collects 32 units. Many more lives have been impacted because of the First United Methodist Church, and we are so grateful for the partnership.
