Call to Action

Have you ever wanted to take action regarding issues but were unsure how to make your voice heard? Or wondered if it does any good? Every voice counts and matters. The Christian
Social Witness Team is compiling a list of people’s email addresses that would like information on how to take Action.  The “Call to Action” list will provide you with information on how to contact organizations, or law makers, to voice your opinion on topics. Emails will contain information regarding topics and explain, when, how and who to contact. If interested in receiving information and being part of the “Call to Action” list please contact Delanie Hudnall, djhudnall@columbushosp.org.

FEBRUARY/MARCH LENTEN TOPICS AT FUMC

In February and March we will focus on those attributes of Jesus that we celebrate about the Son of God and the Son of Man. So what does Jesus claim about himself? In the Gospel of John, there are seven “I AM” Sayings. During the Lenten season, we will reflect on these statements through Jesus Says I AM. Join us Saturday night at 6:00 or Sunday morning at 8:00 & 10:30.

February 17 & 18 - I AM:  Gate
February 24 & 25 - I AM:  Shepherd
March 3 & 4 - I AM:  Bread

COMMUNITY CONNECTION

Faith-N-Art Exhibit – Today, art is more important than ever! We see many references to art in the Bible specifically in the Old Testament. Many people in the church today have wonderful talents in the Arts. We are interested in helping area churches with talented artists to share the art with the community. The idea of Faith-N-Art Exhibit was developed to invite local churches to provide artwork in all shapes and forms. The artwork does not have to be religious in nature. We hope to fill the SIP Coffee Shop on January 16th – February 28th with wonderful art pieces. If you would like to show your artwork please call the church office at 402-564-8463.

If you would like to adopt a family, for our Christmas wish list program, please call 402-564-2155 or email outreach@centerforsurvivors.net.
