Summer Splash!
 
This summer, children and youth (K - 12) are invited to Splash starting on Wednesday, May 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (no meals served). First Splash will feature “family” game night with Gaga Ball, board games, dodge ball & more!

 

Blast Off with Vacation Bible School
 
VBS will be June 3rd – 7th from at 8:15 – 11:30 a.m. First UMC will be hosting this year. If you would like to help, please fill out the volunteer card and return to Sarah or Sandy. Volunteers are needed with snacks, crafts, recreation, science, group leaders / helpers, Bible story, and music! If you are only able to help one or two days, we’d love to have you! If you would like to volunteer but can’t, we are always looking for financial help. Grab a gift card to support our little ones learning more about Jesus Christ through VBS!
 
 
 
UMM Walk or Bike Ride
 
Ride or walk on the morning of Saturday, May 25th in Columbus—open to all. To register, contact Rocky Plettner (402-640-4590 cell, rg1plett@gmail.com ) or Doug Kallesen, or go to https://www.greatplainsumc.org/files/ummen/ummen19-bikeridewalkregistration04.09.19.pdf  Pledges support UMM missions – Camp Fontanelle, Upper Room Prayer Line, and scholarships for Christian service.

 
 
Summer Church Office Hours
 
Summer hours will be in effect from June 3rd through August 30th. The summer schedule will be Monday – Thursday from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Friday from 7:30 am – 12 noon.

 

Email Blast
 
The Email Blast, which contains weekly information about what is happening in church and around our community, will continue to go out once a week on Thursday. To sign up with your email address, please contact the church office or email:       programcoordinator@columbusfumc.com
 
 
 
SQUARE is in the Church
 
The Finance Committee is happy to announce that church members will be able to make payments for pledges, Scrip gift cards and other services using their debit and/or credit cards through Square, Inc. This will be able BEFORE and AFTER all worship services (please speak with those selling Scrip) and DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS at the Church.

Through June 1st and 2nd, we will be revisiting Dr. M. Scott Peck’s book The Road Less Traveled: A New Psychology of Love, Traditional Values & Spiritual Growth (1978) with the sermon series road less traveled. Join us at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the Outreach Center or Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. downtown.

Come as you are and join us every Sunday for a casual evening together at the Outreach Center, 3602 16th Street. It all begins at 6:00 with music and words to Ignite the Spirit in you followed by refreshments and fellowship.
 
 
As we come out of our Easter Season and have entered into our “50 Days of Prayer,” we will look at how Jesus is asking us to Live and how a Loving God prepares us to go out and serve others.

Homes Wanted & Needed – Great foster parents are willing to work in partnership, are committed to provided care and support, are willing to complete training and ongoing education, are willing to open their hearts and homes. If you have ever thought about foster care, wanted to know more about it, or just did not know where to start, let us take some time to share about this rewarding and needed service. Call and speak to a foster parent, recruiter, and trainer to find out about the role YOU can play and the difference YOU can make one child at a time.
